Columbus Fire Department promotes firefighter to lieutenant

COLUMBUS, Ind.- The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) announced the promotion of Firefighter Casey Taylor to the rank of Lieutenant. Lt. Taylor joined CFD in 2018. He has served in the fire service since 2009.

He has advanced his training while a member of CFD and has successfully obtained numerous certifications that include:

  • Paramedic Emergency Medical Technician
  • Rope Rescue Technician
  • Swift Water Rescue Technician
  • Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Technician
  • Fire Instructor
  • Investigator

Lt. Taylor has been assigned to serve as a Company Officer on Battalion A.
