COLUMBUS, Ind. -The Columbus Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting death that happened at a Columbus home early Monday morning, June 22 .
At 9:06 a.m., CPD officers and other first responders were called to a house in the 3000 block of Wedgewood Drive for a shooting.
The caller said that he had shot a man who attacked him. Officers quickly arrived, secured the scene, and began evaluating the man that was shot. Medical personnel also rushed to the home, but ultimately the man died.
