NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Country music icon, actor, and philanthropist Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80.
According to a statement issued on behalf of her family, the global superstar passed away peacefully.
Parton was renowned for musicial hits including "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You," as well as her Imagination Library literacy program.
