GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Center Grove Community School Corporation (CGCSC) has announced that Shaun Farmer is the next principal of Maple Grove Elementary School. He replaces Brooke Phillips, who resigned at the end of June.
The CGCSC Board of School Trustees approved his appointment at its meeting on July 16.
Farmer is in his 20th year as an educator. He began his career in the Franklin Community School Corporation, where he taught elementary for seven years. He then moved to Maple Grove Elementary, where he taught 5th Grade for nine years before serving as a Sixth Grade Science Specialist with MSD of Wayne Township.
He was an assistant principal at North Madison Elementary in Mooresville Schools before becoming an assistant principal at Maple Grove Elementary in 2025.
"Mr. Farmer is passionate about ensuring Maple Grove is a place where students and staff feel safe, welcomed, and valued,” said Dr. Erin Stalbaum, superintendent. “We are confident Mr. Farmer will be a great fit for this new role.”
Farmer holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and a master's degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University.
