COLUMBUS, Ind. - According to Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM), the National Weather Service (NWS) now says the Flood warnings for three rivers in the county remain in effect until Monday, August 17.
- The Flood Warning for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh has been extended until late Monday evening. Flood stage is 11 feet, and the river was over 10 feet late Thursday afternoon. It is expected to crest early Saturday afternoon at 15.7 feet. Moderate Flooding is forecast.
- The East Fork White River at Columbus will have its Flood Warning expire Monday afternoon. Flood stage is 9 feet, and Friday morning the waterway was nearly 9 feet. It is anticipated to rise to 13.3 feet on Saturday morning. Minor flooding is expected.
- The Flood Warning for the Flatrock River near Columbus is extended through late Sunday evening. Flood stage is 11 feet, and the river was already over 14 feet on Friday morning. It is predicted to crest at 15.8 feet on Friday evening. Moderate flooding is forecast.
All three of the Bartholomew County rivers will fall below flood stage by Sunday night or early Monday morning.
