COLUMBUS, Ind. - Bartholomew County Emergency Management (BCEM) says flooding remains a significant concern in Bartholomew County. Additional impacts are expected as rain continues over the next few days.
High waters could cause moderate to major flooding along portions of the Driftwood, East Fork White, and Flatrock Rivers. Levels are expected to continue rising over the coming days, prolonging flooding conditions.
More rounds of heavy rainfall are possible through Thursday, prompting the National Weather Service to expand the Flood Watch through Thursday evening.
Flooding is the primary concern; however, scattered severe storms could produce:
- Damaging Winds
- Large Hail
- An isolated tornado
BCEM will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates. Residents are encouraged to be "weather aware" and use caution when traveling in flood-prone areas.
