FRANKLIN, Ind. - Franklin College recently announced this year’s recipient of the B2S Life Sciences Career Development Fellowship.
Sophomore Wesley Carter of Indianapolis was selected for the Fellowship and began the program in early February. A chemistry major, Carter joins returning Fellow Alecia Perkins, a junior from Franklin, who is entering her second year in the program.
The B2S Life Sciences Career Development Fellowship was established in 2025 as a partnership between B2S Life Sciences and Franklin College. The initiative enriches students’ academic experience with essential real-world exposure to life science research and high-tech industries. The 3-year fellowship experience bridges the gap between academic preparation and a successful career transition upon graduation.
B2S Fellows work alongside professionals in an entrepreneurial R&D environment, gaining hands-on training in crucial areas. Each Fellow is guided by a B2S Life Sciences mentor, who oversees professional development and technical training.
The program provides a $5,000 scholarship annually per student for up to three years, totaling $15,000 per student over the course of the program. B2S Fellows may also earn internship credits toward graduation requirements.
