BROWNSTOWN, Ind. - In the three-way Jackson County Sheriff Primary race, Dustin Steward was the victor on Tuesday night.
Steward has deep ties to the area, having worked as the chief deputy at the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and previously served on the Brownstown Town Council.
In the Tuesday primaries, Steward garnered almost 55% of the vote. Roger Drew came in second with 35% of the vote, and Mark Hole finished third with just over 10%.
