Jackson County woman goes missing early Friday morning; found Friday afternoon

REDDINGTON, Ind. - A Reddington woman who was reported missing to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 4:50 a.m. on Friday was found safe early Friday afternoon.

Maria Guevara Biveros, 59, apparently left her residence on the south side of Reddington, along US 31 in northern Jackson County, and was last seen walking northbound on US 31 through Reddington.   

When she left the house, she was wearing a white shirt, light colored pajama pants, and house slippers.   

As the morning progressed, the Indiana State Police, Indiana Conservation Officers, Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, and Jackson County EMA all joined the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department in trying to locate her. 

Good news came at 12;30 p.m., when a homeowner observed the female on her property. Law enforcement responded quickly, and the missing female was reunited with her family.
