JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. - Because of excessive flooding, the Jennings County School Corporation (JCSC) has officially canceled school for Wednesday, August 12.
Originally, Jennings County Schools were under a two-hour delay before being cancelled at around 8:30 a.m.
An official statement on social media stated, "Daylight has revealed extensive flooding on county roads following heavy overnight rainfall, and additional rain is expected throughout the day. Therefore, classes at Jennings County Schools will not be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
A make-up day will be announced later.
