NORTH VERNON, Ind. - As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) executed a search warrant and took three people into custody at 354 Long St., Apartment 3A, on Sunday, February 8.

Early that day, officers received information regarding suspected illegal drug activity occurring at the residence. As the investigation progressed, they developed probable cause and applied for a residential search warrant from Jennings County Circuit Court. It was signed and presented at the home at around 6:40 p.m.

During the search, NVPD allegedly located numerous items consistent with narcotics use and distribution, including a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, a mirror covered with white powder residue, needles, and other drug-related items.

The individuals arrested, charged, and transported to the Jennings County Jail were:

  • Deborah K. Reynolds, 69, of North Vernon, for Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Reggie D. Washam, 44, of North Vernon, for Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Meth, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Rosie M. Jones, 38, of North Vernon, for Visiting a Common Nuisance

NVPD said it remains committed to addressing illegal narcotics activity and improving the quality of life for residents.
