COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) received information that a husband and wife were possibly dealing drugs from their home at 525 Parkway Drive in Columbus.

After investigating, detectives gathered enough evidence to apply for a search warrant for the home.

A warrant was issued on August 25, and CPD SWAT executed the search. Investigators allegedly located suspected methamphetamine, spice, marijuana, and drug-related items.

JNET took four individuals into custody on several preliminary charges.

Bobby Roberts, 65, and Madalene Roberts, 65, both of Columbus, were arrested for:

  • Dealing a Controlled Substance (level 2 felony)
  • Dealing Meth (level 3 felony)
  • Maintaining a Common Nuisance (level 6 felony)
  • Possession of Marijuana (class B misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Paraphernalia (class C misdemeanor)

Amber David, 41, and Austin Witsman, 37, both of Columbus, were charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance (B misdemeanor)

The Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team, a combined unit of the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, and the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office, is proactively targeting the manufacturing and abuse of dangerous drugs in Columbus and Bartholomew County. All suspects should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
