NORTH VERNON, Ind. -The Jennings County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) arrested a 67-year-old woman after she drove in circles around the lawn of the Jennings County Courthouse, 24 N Pike St., on Monday, October 5.
Lorraine Wilkerson, 67, of North Vernon, was arrested after making “donuts on the courthouse lawn” in her vehicle.
Wilkerson was booked into Jennings County jail on charges of operating a vehicle with an Alcohol Concentration Equivalent of .08 or more (C-misdemeanor) and operating a vehicle while intoxicated (C-misdemeanor).
According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office, "If you’ve had a few too many margaritas with dinner, please don’t get behind the wheel, and definitely don’t do donuts on the courthouse lawn. We encourage everyone to enjoy themselves responsibly and always make arrangements for a safe ride home if you’ve been drinking."
