SEYMOUR, Ind. - The Jackson County Sheriff's Department confirmed that a woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Seymour. Deputies were called to the 3600 block of West County Road 225N at around 2:15 p.m.
The preliminary investigation determined that "aggressive and high-speed driving" caused 26-year-old Angel Grider to lose control of her car as she traveled west on the roadway. She was thrown from the vehicle, which rolled over several times and came to rest in a nearby field.
Grider died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
