Seymour kindergarten registration for 2026-2027 school year is Tuesday

SEYMOUR, Ind. - Seymour Community Schools is having a "Kindergarten Enrollment Roundup" on Tuesday, April 7, at its five elementary schools. Parents with children entering kindergarten in the 2026-2027 school year should register their child at the school that day. 

To be eligible for the upcoming school year, the children must be five years old on or before August 1. 

Parents and Guardians should bring their child and birth certificate, proof of residency, and shot records when they report for the enrollment process.   

Here are the April 7 enrollment times at the various schools: 

  • Jackson Elementary (812-522-5709), 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Call for appointment, but walk-ins are welcome
  • Redding Elementary (812-522-5621), 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Call for appointment
  • Brown Elementary (812-522-5539), 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Call for appointment, but walk-ins are welcome
  • Emerson Elementary (812-522-2596), 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Call for appointment
  • Cortland Elementary (812-522-7483), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 7 p.m. - Call for appointment
