EDINBURGH, Ind. - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to begin a pavement rehabilitation project on State Road 252, between I-65 and U.S. 31 in Edinburgh, on or after this Monday, March 30.
Crews will begin working on S.R. 252 between Eisenhower Drive and Pleasant Street. This portion of S.R. 252 will be closed through early July. During the closure, motorists should use the official detour route, which follows U.S. 31 to I-65 back to S.R. 252.
In addition to the S.R. 252 closure, Eisenhower Drive will temporarily close at S.R. 252 for water main installation work on or after Tuesday, March 31, and is expected to reopen in early April.
Pre-construction activities will take place along S.R. 252 before the start of the closure. S.R. 252 will close in additional locations throughout the duration of the maintenance.
The overall $15.4 mullion INDOT project is expected to be completed in early summer 2028, weather permitting.
Drivers should slow down, use extra caution, and avoid distractions when traveling in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
