COLUMBUS/SEYMOUR, Ind. - Two traffic stops on I-65 by the Indiana State Police (ISP), within minutes of each other, resulted in several arrests on Monday afternoon.

A trooper in Bartholomew County conducted a traffic stop in which the driver was arrested and incarcerated in the Bartholomew County Jail for never receiving a driver's license.

At about the same time, a trooper stopped a vehicle near the 51-mile marker in Jackson County. After a search of the vehicle, two occupants were cited for drug possession. An adult male was arrested and incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail on an initial charge of being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm.

ISP says it will continue to target those who involved in criminal activities on our roadways.

Charges are merely accusations. All suspects are presumed innocent until they are proven guilty in court.
