JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. - UPDATE: According to the Jennings County Sheriff's Office (JCSO), Highway 50 is back open for the time being.
A portion of the road near Butlerville had been closed due to flooding. Some vehicles have been left and will be removed when conditions improve. Travel safely and do not drive through high water.
ORIGINAL STORY - The Jennings County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) issued a warning on social media on Wednesday, August 12, that US Highway 50 East, between Butlerville and Nebraska, is closed indefinitely due to high floodwaters.
JCSO is asking drivers to avoid the area as further rainfall will compound these conditions throughout the day.
