Jose’s Blog: Tour de Trails 2019

Columbus, IN, USA / QMIX 107.3

Welcome back to Jose’s blog! Thanks for reading my blogs, and just keeping up with what’s going on with my life so far. May is a very special month for me because of only one thing… it is Columbus Bike Month! One cool little fun fact is that I bike EVERYWHERE! Like I bike to my rugby practices, to school, to buy stuff, to work, just everywhere. When I get my permit, I really hope that I continue to bike, also. Biking really has helped me stay fit, and also has helped me become a healthier teenager.

This year, our Adopted Charity is Parks and Rec. Parks and Recreation department enhances the quality of life and the environment; to conserve, and protect natural resources, and to provide leisure time opportunities to people of all ages. Parks and Recreation is just so great, and I appreciate all their programs. They always have something great going on for all ages, and also so many sports that are hard to keep track of!

This Saturday, May 13th, Parks and Rec, and ColumBike are having an event called Tour De Trails- Bicycle Challenge. There will be three races, such as a 20k, 50k, and 80k! Onsite registration/packet pick-up will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. and rolling start beginning at 9:00 a.m.  You must be registered by 8:40 A.M. to be entered to win some dope raffles. The 2019 begin/end location will be held at the Donner Park shelter house. After the ride, make sure to join us for the complimentary lunch (12:00 p.m.) back at the Donner Park shelter house!

Make sure you come to this awesome event hosted by Parks and Rec, and also by ColumBike! This event will be so much fun, and a great way to get a head start to that summer body you want…! Roughly, I bike around 8 miles a day, so I think I will be pretty good for this challenge! Follow me on Instagram @jtrinidaddn just to learn about me, and how my life is going! Hope to see you at the event!
