Jose’s Blog: Summertime

Columbus, IN, USA / QMIX 107.3

Welcome back to my blog! I wanna start off by saying sorry for not posting a blog last week. I totally forgot and I didn’t realize it until the end of the week, and I was like, “Oh crap…!” I want to thank you for also keeping up with me, and my blogs! Surprisingly, my mom told me one day that her co-worker came up to her and said that I don’t like Tamales, and my mom said I did, so they made a bet of $20, and the co-worker one. I remember putting that in my last blog, but I don’t remember telling my mom.

Well…now that I have addressed that, I would like to address something else that doesn’t involve betting. Summer…summer…summer. For those who do not know, I am a big fan of summer, and I am counting down the days to get out of school, and start my two months of freedom! I get out of school on May 30th, which is just this Thursday, and that will mean that I am halfway done with my high school life. Next year I will be a junior!

Summer is my favorite time of the year because of no school, pool, freedom, and also just having ice cream. This summer will be a special one, because I will not be in Columbus as much, and I love to travel and meet others. In June, I will be going to three different camps all around the state, so I won’t be at Qmix as much for the summer. I am going with my sister to see Ariana Grande… and Twenty One Pilots back to back nights! During July, I am going on vacation with my friend, and also heading off to the windy city…Chicago. I will also be heading off to so many different theme parks out in the midwest that I am very excited about! I will probably not be here for the Qmix Musical Fireworks…but you guys should come anyway and have fun out there. Overall, this summer will be a very busy one for me.

Since the beginning of this year, before I headed off in January for my trip to Washington, D.C., I made a Spotify playlist. When I make a music playlist, I usually have a Pop Playlist, Rap Playlist, Acoustic, Folk, Running, Swiftie, you name it. Some playlists are really special for me though, as they might relate to something great in my life, a song that I heard during a special occasion, moment, or anywhere.

I would love to share you my Summer 2019 playlist, which includes a mix of upbeat songs from so many genres, and songs that remind me of summer! I will be using this exact same playlist on my way to my different camps or trips this summer, so give it a try, because there will be at least one song that you might like.

P.S.: I’ll be hanging out with Qmix this summer for a bit, so please stop by and say hi to me, Patra, Emily, or Brittany, or anyone!
