COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Greater Greenwood Chamber of Commerce is hosting another legislative forum this week on Thursday, August 1. The goal of the Legislation Matters Luncheon is for members to bring some of their top business policy issues to elected officials. Attendees are expected to learn about federal policy and its impact on business trade, regulation, taxation, and more.
At this week’s get-together, Jim Schellinger, Secretary of Commerce for the state of Indiana is the guest speaker. He serves as a member of Governor Eric Holcomb’s cabinet and leads the state’s domestic and international economic development. Schellinger will be discussing current economic growth opportunities in central Indiana, what the administration is now working on, and how to overcome labor shortages.
