COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress (ASAP) is delivering a Community Progress Report, on Monday, August 26, at The Commons, in Columbus. Topics include an update on the opioid crisis, progress on the community’s Prevention and Recovery System, and the introduction of the ASAP Hub.
“Since our last report, a great deal of progress has been made. The time is right to share that progress, as well as discuss plans moving forward,” Doug Leonard, ASAP Executive Director said.
The program starts at 6:30 p.m. and the public is encouraged to show up early to look at the Prevention and Recovery System partner exhibits that will be on display. As a part of the event, the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a “Drug Take Back,” accepting legal prescriptions and over the county medications for disposal.
