COLUMBUS, Ind. – While checking out a disturbance complaint, Columbus Police Department (CPD) officers apprehended Larry Evans, 23, of North Vernon, when they discovered he had a warrant for his arrest. The male subject also allegedly falsely identified himself.
CPD responded to an apartment in the 4000 block of North County Road 150W on Thursday, at around 7:30 p.m., in regards to a call dispatch received about loud music. After officers arrived, they said they located Evans outside of an apartment.
Police say that while speaking with the suspect, he gave them a false name, but they were still able to determine his true identity and confirm a warrant for his arrest.
Evans was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of false informing and a Bartholomew County warrant.
