India named host country for Ethnic Expo

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The city of Columbus has announced that India will be featured as the host country of the 36th annual Ethnic Expo, presented by First Financial Bank, in downtown Columbus. The two-day festival celebrates the city’s diversity and cultural traditions on Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12.

The leading group to represent India will be the Indian Association of Columbus. The entire community is invited to experience the sights, sounds, and beauty of India through free activities, performances, and games which will take place in the host country corner at the intersection of First and Washington streets.

The festival is family-friendly and features live performances of international music and dancing, over 50 authentic cuisine and bazaar market vendors, and free children’s activities.

“Join the city of Columbus in celebrating our bountiful cultures and heritages from around the world. Congratulations to India for serving as this year’s host country,” said Mayor Jim Lienhoop.
