COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched on Friday to a possible intoxicated driver traveling southbound on Interstate 65 near the 90-mile marker. When they caught up to the vehicle, near the Taylorsville exit, they initiated a traffic stop.
The driver, identified as Brandon Arnold, 26, of Indianapolis, appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug, according to deputies.
Following a blood draw and clearance from Columbus Regional Health, Arnold was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.
He has since been released on bond.
