QMIX Christmas Fireworks, FOL Parade set for Saturday

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Founded in 1989, the Festival of Lights (FOL) Parade is an annual holiday parade that winds its way through downtown Columbus on the first Saturday of December. The 2019 parade is this Saturday, December 7, beginning at 6 p.m.

Typically, it is the largest parade each year in the city with around 100 floats. The only requirement is that every entree must have lights. Sixth-grader, Annabelle Andrus, from Taylorsville Elementary School, is the Grand Marshall.

It is a full evening of family entertainment as the FOL Parade is followed by QMIX Christmas Musical Fireworks, beginning about 10 minutes after the end of the parade. The law firm of Thomasson Thomasson Long & Guthrie is the title sponsor for the show.

The pyrotechnics display features fireworks choreographed to your favorite Christmas songs. QMIX Christmas Musical Fireworks debuted in Columbus in 1991.
