SCOTTSBURG, Ind. – A Scottsburg City Police Department officer was arrested by Indiana State Police (ISP) after detectives received a complaint of alleged domestic battery early Sunday morning in Lexington, Indiana.
After questioning the female victim, investigators met with the suspect, Shane Gibson, 33, of Lexington, Indiana, at the Scottsburg City Police Department where Gibson is currently employed as a patrol officer. ISP says that the suspect was off-duty and not in uniform at the time of the alleged incident and interview.
As a result of the investigation, Gibson was arrested on charges of criminal confinement and domestic battery. He was remanded into the custody of the Washington County Jail without incident.
