COLUMBUS, Ind. – The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Flood Warning for the East Fork White River at Columbus from Saturday afternoon through Tuesday evening, and also for the Driftwood River near Edinburgh beginning Sunday afternoon.
With heavy rains expected this weekend, a Flood Watch is in effect for central and south-central Indiana. The extensive rain could cause flooding and unsafe conditions, especially while driving.
The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office is already reporting high water at County Road 400W, between County Roads 850S and 930S. Sheriff Myers reminds you to not drive through high water.
Residents impacted by the Flood Watch, or by the Flood Warning for the East Fork White River, should take extra safety precautions.
