INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Indianapolis says a Flood Warning is in effect for parts of Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, and Shelby Counties. Minor flooding is occurring and will continue to occur at the Driftwood River, near Edinburgh, and the East Fork White River in Seymour.
NWS says that after about two inches of precipitation on Sunday and Monday, the rivers began to rise. The Driftwood River is expected to start falling on Thursday morning, while the East Fork White River will begin receding on Friday morning.
Motorists should never drive into high water and parents should keep kids away from flooded areas.
