COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says Milestone Contractors will close State Road 11, south of State Road 46 in Columbus, beginning this Monday, June 1.
Motorists will not be able to travel the road for 30 days while existing pavement is replaced and new drainage structures are installed. The work is part of the $30 million interchange project at State Roads 46 and 11.
According to INDOT, the official detour will follow I-65, between Exits 68 and 55. Local residents know that they can also use Goeller Boulevard, Terrace Lake Road, and County Road 200S.
