COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET), served a search warrant on Thursday, at 817 Fourth Street, Apartment #1, where the occupants were suspected of dealing fentanyl/heroin. The apartment is right across the street from St. Peter’s Lutheran School.
The investigation has been on-going since JNET obtained information that individuals were possibly dealing illegal drugs from the residence. Detectives arrested three suspects on drug charges after searching the property.
During the search, detectives allegedly found more than 10 grams of fentanyl/heroin, methamphetamine, synthetic drug material, stolen property, syringes, drug-related paraphernalia, and a significant amount of packaging material used to distribute illegal drugs.
Christopher George, 34, of Columbus, was charged with conspiracy to commit theft, possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, possession of meth, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug, and possession of stolen property.
Carrie Narozny was booked for dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of stolen property, and resisting law enforcement.
Charles Russell, 24, of Columbus, was jailed for visiting a common nuisance. JNET says additional arrests are expected.
