COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County POW-MIA is once again hosting a ceremony in observance of the National POW/MIA Recognition Day this Friday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m., at the Bartholomew County Veterans Memorial in downtown Columbus.
The Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard will start the ceremony, and the Columbus Children’s Choir will sing the National Anthem, as well as “God Bless America.”
This year’s guest speaker will be Devin Malson, a media specialist who works frequently with the Bartholomew County Historical Society. He will be talking about two members of his own family who have their names inscribed on bricks at the POW/MIA Plaza.
