INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) announced Bartholomew County unemployment numbers for the month of August.
According to DWD, the county’s unemployment rate fell to 2.9% during August. It was 3.1% in July. The county is continuing to recover after a difficult 2020 when it had an August unemployment rate of 5.3%.
Bartholomew County also reported a labor source of 44,962. The county had 43,638 employed residents in August and another 1,324 who are unemployed.
