Indiana surpasses 1 million coronavirus cases

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) reported 701 new Hoosiers with COVID-19 on Monday. After verifying another 3,203 cases over the weekend, the state has now surpassed 1 million reported residents as having contracted the disease since March 6, 2020. Specifically, Indiana has confirmed 1,000,163 of its citizens with the virus.

To date, ISDH also says that COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 15,771 Hoosiers.

Bartholomew County has recorded 11,505 cases, Jackson County documents 6,940, Jennings County reports 3,851, and Johnson County has certified 24,902 cases of the virus over the last 20 months.
