COLUMBUS, Ind. – Five people were arrested on a variety of criminal charges after the Columbus Police Department (CPD) was led on a car chase Thursday night. Officers tried to pull over a car near 12th and Chestnut Streets just after 10 p.m. The driver, later identified as Jonathan Davis, 30, of Seymour, refused to stop and a pursuit began.

During the chase, the man reportedly disregarded several stop signs before losing control of the vehicle and sliding into the yard of a house near Eighth and Reed Streets. The suspect’s car was disabled, so he then fled on foot. Police pursued Davis and later found him inside an apartment in the 1500 block of 10th Street where he was arrested.

In the apartment, CPD allegedly located narcotics and drug paraphernalia. They also found Terrell Brantley, 34, of Columbus, who was wanted on an Indiana parole warrant. He was taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, police also arrested Joseph Stanley, 37, Nichole Kronmiller, 44, and Bethany Todd, 28, all of Columbus. The five suspects were transported to Bartholomew County jail.
