Columbus Animal Care cancels Holiday Open House

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases within the community, Columbus Animal Care Services (CACS) has canceled this Sunday’s Holiday Open House. Instead, CACS encourages those who are interested in assisting animals in need to participate in their Holiday Donation Drive.

Items needed include pet food, kitten milk replacer, feeding bottles, cat litter, paper towels, hand sanitizer, and Dawn dishwashing liquid.

In addition, CASC seeks volunteers to walk the dogs at the shelter, socialize with the cats, clean up after pets, and drive animals to veterinarian appointments.

CACS is also collecting monetary donations that go toward their adoption medical fund. That fund is used for both additional medical expenses and towards the preparation of dogs going to regional shelters. More information can be found here.
