Rep. Ryan Lauer files for re-election


COLUMBUS, Ind. – Rep. Ryan Lauer has announced that he has filed for re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives in the 59th District and said, “It is my highest honor to serve the people of Columbus and Bartholomew County, and I am thankful for the chance to work hard improving our state for all Hoosiers.”

He has authored several bills that became law during his tenure including defending Hoosiers from identity theft and protecting infants through Safe Haven 911. Lauer also co-authored legislation to increase police funding, obtain a grant for officer body cameras, and improve transparency for vetting candidates.

The state representative, now serving his second term, resides in Columbus with his family and has previously served on the Bartholomew County Council and as President of the County Council.
