Nearly 12,000 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) announced that 11,932 new Hoosiers were included in its Tuesday coronavirus update. There have now been over 1.3 million residents who have come down with the disease since the pandemic began in March 2020.

A total of 19,194 Indiana citizens have now died from COVID-19. According to ISDH, only 10.1% of ICU beds in Indiana are currently available and 38.4% of the state’s beds are being used for virus patients.

Bartholomew County has recorded 16,109 cases, Jackson County confirms 9,417, Jennings County documents 5,404, and Johnson County reports 34,464 cases of COVID-19.
