Indiana reports over 16,000 coronavirus cases 2 straight days

INDIANAPOLIS – In its Thursday update, the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) said 16,539 new Hoosiers were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. It is the second consecutive day with 16,000+ cases. The state has now confirmed 1,506,866 residents with the disease since the pandemic began.

Over the last 23 months, ISDH has documented that 19,898 Indiana citizens have lost their lives to the virus.

Bartholomew County totals 18,152 cases, Jackson County confirms 10,586, Jennings County reports 5,916, and Johnson County has had 38,300 cases of COVID.
