Travel Warning is in effect for Bartholomew County


INDIANAPOLIS – Bartholomew County is now under a Travel Warning, according to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security. Issued Thursday at 6 a.m., the Travel Warning puts Bartholomew County into the “red” status, which is the highest level of a local travel advisory.

The warning restricts travel to emergency management workers only. During a Travel Warning, residents should refrain from any travel, cooperate with public officials and disaster services, and comply with the lawful directions of properly identified officers.

Jackson and Brown Counties were also placed on a Travel Warning. A statewide map of travel advisories can be found here.
