COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Fire Department was dispatched Wednesday afternoon to Sam’s Club on Merchants Mile, after a report of a person being injured.
Crews arrived to find Columbus Police Department officers and Columbus Regional Health paramedics providing CPR to an unconscious male who was found on the floor of the business.
Sam’s Club employees reportedly told firefighters that the man had been working on the roof of the building, and they thought he had fallen through a rooftop skylight to the floor below. Despite the efforts of first responders, the individual died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
