Two arrested for child solicitation in Jennings Co.

JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. – The Jennings County  Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), with assistance from North Vernon Police Officers (NVPD), arrested two men on Saturday for traveling to Jennings County to have sexual relations with what they believed to be a teenage minor.

James Warner, 52, of Columbus, was taken into custody when he arrived at a pre-determined meeting location to allegedly have sexual relations with what he thought to be a 13-year-old female. Warner was arrested without incident and preliminarily charged with child solicitation, a level 4 felony, and dissemination of harmful material to a minor, a level 6 felony.

Also, that same evening, Stephen Stonecipher, 68, of Corydon, was arrested when he arrived at a pre-determined location to supposedly have sexual relations with what he thought was a 13-year-old male. Stonecipher was also placed under arrest without incident and faces preliminary charges of child solicitation, a level 4 felony.
