COLUMBUS, Ind. – The 2023 Municipal Elections came to a close on Tuesday, with several races of note in Columbus decided.
As expected, Republican Mary Ferdon was elected Mayor in a contest that wasn’t close.
Columbus City Council now has nine members for the first time after shifting to second-class city status. The balance of power in the council is in favor of the Republicans 5-4.
Republican Luann Welmer handily defeated her opponent for City Clerk.
