FRANKLIN, Ind. – Franklin Community Schools Middle School counselor Monica Anderson is racking up the awards this year.

She has been announced as the winner of the Indiana School Counselor Association (ISCA) School Counselor of the Year. Earlier this fall, Monica was named the ISCA Middle School Counselor of the Year.

Now, at the ISCA annual conference on Friday, she added another trophy and became the overall winner for all school counselors in the state.

When she was honored in October as Middle School Counselor of the Year, Franklin Community Middle School (FCMS) Principal Rita Holman commented on the school corporation’s website, “One of Monica’s greatest assets is her dynamic vision. That, combined with her strong student advocacy skills, creates huge opportunities for the students of FCMS. Monica sees her students not only as middle-level learners but as the future adults they will become.”
