COLUMBUS, Ind. – A favorite Columbus tradition continues this year. The 32nd annual Cox Family Christmas Concert is scheduled for Sunday, December 3, at the Eagles Lodge #741, in Columbus, from 5 to 7 p.m. The doors open at 4:30 for this free music event.
A spokesperson for the family group, Jerry Cox, said, “It all started many years ago while Mom was still with us. We would sing together as a family in church or at special Christmas programs locally. At one point we decided to do a Christmas Concert. And now, over 32 years later, we are still performing our free Christmas Concerts for our family and friends here in Columbus.”
The Cox family has developed a big following through the years. Many locals say the Cox Christmas Concerts are a huge part of their Christmas family traditions.
Jerry Cox continued, “What a blessing this has been for our family celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a special opportunity we have, to be able to see and feel the Christmas spirit surrounding us, as we sing many of our favorite Christmas songs for the community.”
