SOUTH-CENTRAL, Ind. – With apologies to Julius Caesar, “It came, we saw, it conquered.” The Total Solar Eclipse on Monday in south-central Indiana was a big hit.

“Incredible,” “Stunning,” and “Spectacular” were just some of the words used to describe the phenomenon by residents of Columbus, Franklin, and Seymour.

Traffic, especially on I-65, was clogged on Sunday afternoon and evening before the show, and then again on Monday evening after the event, but otherwise was not as bad as expected.

The festivals and private parties are over as the region returns to normalcy.

The next Total Solar Eclipse visible in the United States is 20 years away. See you in August 2044.
