COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Department of Public Works says the City’s annual Spring Cleanup started Monday and continues through Friday, April 26.

The program allows residents to prepare their yards for spring planting and clear any remaining autumn leaves.

During this period, residents may place grass clippings, leaves, and pine needles at the curb for Leaf-Vac collection on their designated trash day.

To prevent damage to equipment, the Leaf-Vacs will not collect dirt, sod, mulch, rocks, decorative grasses, sticks, branches, or any trash/recycling items.

If you have sticks or branches that need to be picked up, the City of Columbus asks you to create a separate pile for the chipper to collect.
