COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County REMC reported Thursday morning that one of its employees was involved in an accident and injured by electric shock.

The Columbus Fire Department was dispatched to the Shadow Creek Farms subdivision at around 9 a.m.

IU Lifeline flew the male victim to an Indianapolis hospital where he was later said to be in stable condition.

The Bartholomew County REMC Facebook page said, “The prayers of the REMC family are with this individual and their family. The safety of our employees and members is our priority. We are working with the appropriate agencies to investigate the incident.”
