FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Johnson County Community Foundation (JCCF) invites local artists, emerging artists, art students, and creative community members to submit mural designs by Friday, May 17, for the 2024 Color the County Mural Program. There is no entry fee.

The program joins artists and communities in mural-making to create artworks that transform public spaces, neighborhood identities, and individual lives to improve the cultural fabric of Johnson County.

The selected designer will join forces with JCCF to implement the high-quality mural and the winning artist will be awarded $1200.

This year, the side of Tom’s Barbershop in Greenwood was selected as the mural’s home. There will be an announcement later on the summer community painting day, where residents help bring the mural to life.

All of the details and the entry form for the JCCF Color the County Mural Program are available here.
