INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced four “Free Fishing Days” for 2024 and the first one of the year is May 12.

On “Free Fishing Days,” Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish on the state’s public waters. Hoosiers can learn how to fish or go fishing with their family and have fun outdoors.

All other rules apply during DNT’s “Free Fishing Days,” such as seasons, bag, and size limits.
